Community Guidelines
Effective Date: 1 September 2026
1. Purpose and Scope
1.1 MyPosse exists so that small groups of family members and close friends can stay connected. A Posse is a private space built on trust. These Community Guidelines describe the standards of behaviour we expect from everyone who uses MyPosse.
1.2 These Guidelines form part of the Terms of Use. They apply to everything you do on MyPosse, including Anchor Question answers, messages, photographs and other media, Journal entries, quiz and poll responses, Vibe Check responses, mood entries, profile details and Posse names.
1.3 A Posse is private, which means we do not routinely read what is shared inside it. That makes reporting important. If something inside your Posse breaks these Guidelines, please tell us.
1.4 Breaking these Guidelines may lead to content being removed, a feature being restricted, removal from a Posse, or suspension or termination of your account. Section 8 explains how enforcement works.
2. Respect the People in Your Posse
2.1 Treat every member of your Posse with respect, including when you disagree.
2.2 Do not harass, bully, humiliate, threaten, intimidate or stalk anyone. This includes repeated unwanted contact, pile ons and coordinated targeting of a member.
2.3 Do not attack a person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other protected characteristic, and do not use slurs or dehumanising language.
2.4 Do not use the quiz, guessing, poll or mood features to mock, shame, exclude or pressure another member.
2.5 If a member asks you to stop contacting them or to stop sharing something about them, stop.
3. Protect Privacy, Including Other People's
3.1 MyPosse is designed around content that involves other people. Before you share, consider whether the person concerned would want it shared.
3.2 Do not share another person's private information without their permission. This includes home addresses, telephone numbers, financial details, identification documents, medical information and private messages.
3.3 Do not share intimate or sexual images of any person without that person's clear and current consent. Sharing intimate images without consent is prohibited absolutely and may be a criminal offence.
3.4 Do not record, screenshot or republish content from a Posse outside that Posse where doing so would embarrass, endanger or expose a member.
3.5 Take particular care with photographs of children. Only share an image of a child if you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or if you have their permission.
3.6 Remember that anyone who receives your invitation code or link may be able to join your Posse and see what has been shared in it. Share invitations only with people you trust.
4. Keep Children Safe
4.1 MyPosse is not for children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under 13 and do not invite a child under 13 to a Posse, including a Posse marked as a Family Posse.
4.2 Content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a minor is prohibited absolutely. This includes sexualised imagery of minors, sexualised commentary about minors, and any attempt to solicit, groom or arrange contact with a minor.
4.3 We remove such content, terminate the accounts responsible, and report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement as required by law. Our approach is set out in full in the Child Safety Standards Policy below.
4.4 If you become aware of content or behaviour that puts a child at risk, report it immediately. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
5. Look After Each Other, But Do Not Rely on MyPosse in a Crisis
5.1 The mood and Vibe Check features exist so that your circle can check in with one another. Use them kindly. Do not pressure anyone to record a mood or to explain one.
5.2 MyPosse is not a crisis service and is not monitored for emergencies. If you or someone in your Posse is in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately. Do not rely on a mood entry or a message in the app to bring help.
5.3 Do not encourage, glamorise, instruct or provide assistance in relation to suicide, self harm or disordered eating. If a member of your Posse shares something that worries you, respond with care and encourage them to seek support from a person or service equipped to help.
5.4 Do not present yourself as qualified to give medical, psychological or therapeutic advice unless you are, and never do so in a way that discourages someone from seeking proper help.
7. Keep MyPosse Free of Spam and Misuse
7.1 Do not use MyPosse to advertise, promote or solicit, including multi level marketing, fundraising appeals and unsolicited commercial messages.
7.2 Do not create multiple accounts, use automated tools or bots, scrape content, or attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
7.3 Do not attempt to manipulate streaks, leaderboards, quizzes or virtual items, and do not attempt to obtain paid features without paying for them.
7.4 Do not attempt to access a Posse you have not been invited to join.
8. Reporting and Enforcement
8.1 You can report content or a member from within the Service, and you can block a member. You can also contact us at support@myposse.app.
8.2 When we receive a report we assess it against these Guidelines, the Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law. What we do depends on the seriousness of the breach, whether it is repeated, and the risk to others.
8.3 Possible outcomes include a warning, removal of content, restriction of a feature, removal from a Posse, temporary suspension of an account, or permanent termination of an account.
8.4 We act immediately and without warning where there is a risk to a person's safety, particularly the safety of a child, or where the law requires it.
8.5 If we take action against you, we will tell you where it is practicable to do so, and you may ask us to review the decision by writing to support@myposse.app. We will look at it again in good faith.
8.6 Blocking a member is your own tool and does not by itself result in any action by us. If you want us to look at something, report it.
9. Updates
9.1 We may update these Guidelines as the Service develops and as we learn from how it is used. We will post the updated version and change the Effective Date, and we will give notice of material changes in accordance with the Terms of Use.
9.2 Questions about these Guidelines can be sent to support@myposse.app.
